Role Overview

As Business Developer, you take ownership of Helvepic’s commercial development and, in practice, lead its Sales function. Your purpose is to strengthen the company’s economic foundations in service of its long-term artistic ambition: you develop, structure and secure the revenue-generating partnerships — sponsorships, patronage, commercial collaborations and tailored deals — that turn ambitious artistic projects into sustainable, viable productions. This is a role measured by outcomes: opportunities identified, negotiations led, and agreements closed.

You will report directly to the CEO and work in close, trust-based proximity with him, within a small and highly collaborative team. While you drive the commercial agenda, you do not operate in isolation: you coordinate business development efforts transversally, without hierarchical authority, federating the team’s existing relationships and initiatives, aligning contributions and being a genuine source of proposals. Success here relies on your ability to mobilize people, connect initiatives and add your own contribution — not on managing through formal leadership.

The role sits at the crossroads of music, culture and business. You are expected to understand the Swiss and international cultural and creative landscape — particularly music tied to video games, film and series — and to bring, or quickly build, a real foothold in that ecosystem: a network you can activate and grow. A central dimension of the work is building balanced, win-win collaborations, where partners and sponsors clearly grasp the value of working with Helvepic, and where every agreement aligns artistic integrity with mutual benefit and long-term, trust-based relationships.

This is a part-time, secondary engagement — around 20% over the year. It is intentionally designed as a complementary activity, well suited to an independent professional or someone already active in the industry who is looking for a structured, meaningful mandate rather than a main job. At Helvepic, even the most commercial work serves something bigger than itself. The people here don’t feel like they are simply doing a job — they are part of a collective adventure that carries real emotional weight and meaning. What we create moves people, and everyone contributes with genuine investment. In this role, your commercial drive is not an end in itself: it is what allows ambitious, emotionally powerful productions to exist and stand on solid economic ground. We are looking for someone who wants their ability to sell, negotiate and close to serve a purpose worth caring about — a rigorous, structured and autonomous professional who thrives on turning opportunities into concrete outcomes and on giving the direction clear visibility on where things stand.

Key Responsabilities

  • Identify, prospect and develop revenue-generating partnerships — sponsorships, patronage, commercial collaborations and tailored partnership models aligned with Helvepic’s artistic projects ;
  • Build, manage and maintain a structured pipeline of business opportunities, from first contact through negotiation to signed agreement ;
  • Lead negotiations and deal structuring, ensuring partnerships are financially sound, contractually clear and aligned with Helvepic’s artistic integrity and long-term vision ;
  • Manage and coordinate Helvepic’s network of external sales agents — the established partners who commercialize our concerts across international markets — driving the discussions, aligning objectives and keeping the collaboration active and productive ;
  • Own and coordinate the company’s Sales efforts, federating the team’s existing relationships and initiatives across a small internal team, without hierarchical authority ;
  • Work closely with internal contributors involved in representation, communication and project development, to align business opportunities with artistic productions and project timelines ;
  • Ensure partner satisfaction and long-term engagement, monitoring that collaborations deliver mutual value and build sustainable, trust-based relationships ;
  • Actively contribute to the financial sustainability and scalability of Helvepic’s projects, translating artistic ambition into viable economic models ;
  • Provide the CEO with regular, reliable visibility on the opportunity pipeline, ongoing negotiations and closed agreements, supporting informed strategic decisions.

  • Have a genuine connection to the world of Epic Music, live concerts and pop culture (video games, film, series, etc.) ;

  • Strong negotiation and deal-structuring skills, able to create clear, balanced and financially sound agreements ;
  • Ability to identify, qualify and convert opportunities into concrete business outcomes ;
  • Solid knowledge of the live events and music/concert industry, its stakeholders, partnership models and economic realities ;
  • Strong organizational skills, with the rigor and structure to manage multiple opportunities in parallel across different project timelines ;
  • Ability to articulate compelling value propositions that connect artistic projects with partner objectives ;
  • Capacity to coordinate transversally with multiple internal contributors in a non-hierarchical environment, as a genuine source of proposals ;
  • Reliable, disciplined follow-up, with the ability to give the direction clear and regular visibility ;
  • Excellent communication skills, with both creative teams and business stakeholders ;
  • Fluent English (C1 minimum), spoken and written ;
  • Professional French (B2), spoken and written.

Optional

  • German, or other languages relevant to international partners — an asset ;

  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships and sponsorships, with direct responsibility for revenue-generating collaborations ;

  • An existing professional network relevant to cultural, entertainment or event-driven projects, with the ability to activate and grow it ;
  • A track record of structured, autonomous commercial management, ideally in a small or multi-hat organization where rigor and reliable follow-up made the difference ;
  • Comfortable operating as a complementary/part-time mandate, typical of independent professionals or people already active in the industry seeking a well-defined engagement.

Mindset

  • Strongly commercial and results-driven — you combine relationship-building with a real appetite to sell, monetize and close ;
  • Rigorous, structured and reliable — you value order, traceability and clean follow-up, and you keep the direction informed without being asked ;
  • Autonomous and dependable in a small, agile team, with a strong sense of shared responsibility and collective success ;
  • Collaborative and federating: you mobilize people and align initiatives across the team without relying on formal authority ;
  • Trustworthy and discreet, comfortable handling confidential commercial and partnership matters ;
  • Genuinely interested in live concerts, Epic Music, pop culture, video games, film and large-scale artistic productions ;
  • Comfortable in a high-risk, high-reward creative industry, with the resilience and judgment to navigate uncertainty and long development cycles ;
  • Motivated to contribute to projects that push artistic and cultural boundaries, not only commercial performance.
